Difficult Childhood
Kehlani Ashley Parrish, born on April 24, 1995, in Oakland, California, has had a difficult childhood. Faced with her mother's addiction and the death of her father at a young age, Khelani found solace in music.
America's Got Talent
She gained initial recognition as a member of the pop cover band Poplyfe, finishing fourth on America's Got Talent in 2011.
