Born as Catherine Fischer-Hummels on January 31, 1988, in Dachau, Cathy began battling severe depression at 16. After completing high school in Unterschleißheim and college in Dortmund, she followed her then-boyfriend, Mats Hummels. The couple married in Dortmund, had a son, Ludwig, and later announced their divorce in 2022.
