Becky Lynch Biography
Early Life and Training
Becky Lynch, born Rebecca Quin on January 30, 1987, grew up in the Dublin suburb of Baldoyle, Ireland. She dropped out of University College Dublin to pursue professional wrestling and began her training at the age of 15.
Signing with WWE and NXT
In 2013, Lynch signed with WWE and joined their NXT brand. Her career gained momentum after her debut on NXT, and she moved up to the main roster in July 2015.
Main Roster Success
Lynch formed the group Team PCB and made a strong impact in the women's division. She became the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion at Backlash 2016, a title she held four times.
WrestleMania Main Event and Record Reign
In 2019, Lynch won the Royal Rumble match and main evented WrestleMania 35 in a historic match against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. She became the first woman to hold both the Raw Women's Championship and SmackDown Women's Championship simultaneously.
Personal Life
Outside of wrestling, Lynch is in a relationship with WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, and they got engaged in 2019. They tied the knot in 2021 and welcomed their daughter, Roux, in 2020. Lynch is also known for her advocacy for women's progress in the wrestling industry.
