Jey Uso Biography
Football Fields and Wrestling Rings
Jey Uso's early athletic career was marked by gridiron glory—he shined as a linebacker at the University of West Alabama. By 2007, Jey and his twin brother Jimmy pursued wrestling, quickly becoming a formidable duo. In 2009, they clinched the Florida Tag Team Championship, ushering in a new chapter.
WWE: Claiming the Throne
On May 24, 2010, Jey made his WWE debut alongside his brother and Tamina Snuka. The Usos overpowered The New Age Outlaws in 2014 to secure their first WWE tag team title. This triumph led to a record-breaking 622-day tag team title reign. As a solo competitor, Jey earned 2020's Feud of the Year and captured the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2021. The Bloodline dominated as 'Faction of the Year' in 2022, accompanying their 'Tag Team of the Year' accolade. The PWI Tag Team 50 of 2022 listed the Usos at the pinnacle. Entering 2023, Jey teamed up with Cody Rhodes on WWE's Raw.
Life Outside the Ring
Jey married Takecia Travis in 2015 and is a proud father of two. A DUI arrest in 2018, however, hindered his ability to travel to Canada. Away from the ring, Jey delights WWE fans with the 'Siva Tau' war dance and vivid face paint. He's also showcased his Samoan BBQ talent on 'Outside the Ring.' Video game appearances include WWE '13 and the WWE 2K series. Uso lent his voice to 'The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!' and appeared as 'Jucey' on the gaming channel UpUpDownDown. His life and career, including his struggles, were featured in the WWE Network’s WWE Chronicle.
