Bruce Lee

Lee was born to parents Hoi-Chuen Lee and Grace Ho in San Francisco, but moved to Hong Kong when he was three months old. His father was an opera singer, which familiarized Bruce with the entertainment industry. He appeared in minor roles as a young child. Despite facing racial discrimination, Lee found a sense of protection in a street gang. This changed when he received martial arts training from Yip Man, changing his life's path.

In 1959, Lee returned to the U.S. and enrolled in the University of Washington, majoring in Philosophy. This greatly shaped his martial arts approach and life's worldview.

Lee's acting career started early, starring in approximately 20 films as a child actor in Hong Kong. Post-education, he set up martial arts schools in Seattle, Oakland, and LA, specializing in Wing Chun. His unique martial arts style, Jeet Kune Do, captured Hollywood's attention, leading to his breakthrough role as Kato in 'The Green Hornet'.

Bruce met Linda Lee Cadwell at the University of Washington. Marrying her in 1964, they had two children, Brandon and Shannon. Outside filming and training, Bruce was a Cha-Cha enthusiast, strict with diet and fitness, and coached Hollywood celebrities. His sudden death at 32, just before the release of 'Enter the Dragon', was due to a severe cerebral edema caused by a reaction to a headache pill.
