Brett Cooper Biography
Early Life
Growing up in a turbulent home in Tennessee, Cooper lost her brother to a cardiac arrest when she was five. Extremely shy, Cooper’s mother enrolled her in theater to break her out of her shell. As a boiled-up kid, acting gave Cooper the outlet she needed to express herself. Growing more confident, at the age of 10, she wrote a letter to a Broadway manager in New York, detailing her acting experience and how much she wanted to play Jane Banks in Marry Poppins, with a drawing of herself dressed as the character attached. After getting both the interview and the role, she later moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a film acting career. After her parents divorced, she filed to become legally emancipated at 15.
